Stars

Not so long ago
I saw the sky and I saw you there
You shone so bright and grew so big
that I realised you have escaped into space
Now I wonder if in no time
your supernova will arrive.
And comes my fear,
that while I’m busy looking for your pulsar,
while my clouds of dust and gas
are still trying to form my own source of lights,
you’ll cool down and grow dim.
And just like an old star,
you fade and grow cold.
Maybe then I will understand,
that our stars no longer belong to the same galaxy.

A poem made out of jumbled words from a children’s book about Stars and Galaxy. Who says teacher can’t have fun while students do their exercises?
